Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese cloth that is used for wrapping, storing and carrying clothes, gifts or other items.
We are very fortunate to have Yoshie Kumagai hold our workshops. She runs regular sessions all over Sydney and has her own website called Musubi. She is also on Facebook. The workshop will cover the origin of furoshiki, the different sizes and designs and how furoshiki are being used in recent times.
>Some of the items she covers are an eco-bag, yoga mat wrapping, wine bottle and water bottle wrapping. Basic style gift wrapping, dvd wrapping and flower style wrapping are also covered.
Yoshie will provide the furoshiki - if you have your own, please bring it to the workshop or you may also purchase one on the day if you prefer.
