Kay Watanabe is a printmaker based in Brisbane, Australia.
Kay’s prints use a wide range of printmaking techniques, such as traditional etching, photopolymer plates, linocut, woodblock, collagraph, drypoint and monoprint. She sometimes uses them individually and sometimes combines two or more techniques to achieve targeted effects.
She extensively exhibits her works both in Australia and overseas, including UK, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, New Zealand, Korea and Japan.
Kay holds printmaking workshops in various places, including Bleeding Heart in Brisbane and Rosebed St. Gallery in Eudlo, Queensland and now at Gojyuan in Sydney.
In 2012, she was the Winner in the Mini Print International Asia-Pacific.
Kay is featured in the Japan Art Directory on the Japan Foundation Website.
