Mizuhiki is the ancient Japanese art of tying cord made by twisting long strips of washi paper which is starched and then coloured. The cord is used for money envelopes and as part of an engagement gift. It is also used to make a decoration for a card, gift wrapping and as an accessor.
We are very fortunate to have Yoshie Kumagai hold our workshops. She runs regular sessions all over Sydney and has her own website called Musubi. She is also on Facebook.
